I think it's strange to not hear any Radiohead or Bjork influences in certain songs on this album but w/e

 

Wild. I didn’t even know this was out let alone that the first ten songs were out for ages.

 

The influences are noticeable but it’s not like she Greta Van Fleet’d them

 

This needs to be pinned at the top of every page on this site

 

I think you can hear the Radiohead influences on the album but she still makes them totally her own

On another note when Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris first dropped I will admit I was a little disappointed Phoebe, Julien and Lucy weren't more prominent on the track but now I absolutely love their addition in it. Their part in the chorus especially is so calming to me.

Same--so huge sounding. The production is flawless.

Think you'd dig the Oshwa record if you've never heard it.

 

I love their feature on the track. It's probably me reaching, but I feel like their inclusion has a meta quality to it as well. In Hayley' own words:

It reminds me of when the Boygenius EP came out how I saw a lot of discussion around who's songs were better, Julien's Lucy's or Phoebe's rather than just celebrating the collaboration.

I saw Wye Oak open for Julien last summer. They were great. I should make time to listen to their studio stuff.

I absolutely love that song, though I was underwhelmed a bit as well not being able to recognize their voices too much, besides Julien, who I can hear quite clearly. But I guess like it was stated here - it makes sense in a way.

i got the shipment email on Monday, received it yesterday. but i also live near Grimeys so I’m pretty sure that’s how I have it already

i played it yesterday and thought it sounded great. but i don’t trust my ears lol. i can’t wait to get the actual one.

Did you guys ever get an order confirmation email before a shipping notice? The charge is on my credit card but I never got any communication from them and I’m nervous.
