While we’re waiting... I’ll be honest, I got really into Paramore’s full albums fairly recently, like within the last year after being a casual fan for a long time. The self-titled is already one of my favorite albums... Hate To See Your Heart Break especially is a song that already means so much to me. I’ve been going through a really rough time recently and struggling to move on from a toxic relationship, and that song almost made me cry right now (not for the first time). Hayley is such a great songwriter.
“I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close”... fuck that line kills me. It feels like all the negative things I’ve been through have changed me as a person, made me so much more jaded and bitter all the time to the point where I rarely feel that same passion I used to. Just being reminded of that feeling in a song so beautifully... ugh :(
