Feel like this is the most obviously about Taylor song from these sessions. Along with the rest of the lyrics but also specifically...."Who knew Hard Times were the good ol' days", assumedly referring to the Hard Times/After Laughter album cycle and era.
I think it straight up sounds like a SZA impression/tribute lol, I had that thought the first line she sang and it never went away Not an insult though, this song is catchy as hell and she pulls the sound off
Song is like AL vibes put through the filter of this album cycle, it's so bouncy while making me want to cry lol I try to avoid parasocial relationships but fuck I really like/liked them together, this song hurts
Obviously don't know the inner workings of their relationship, but for whatever reason, I wasn't assuming that Taylor was the one to end it and that Hayley still seems quite in love and sad about it Actually tbh I'm not really sure what I was assuming haha I don't try to think too much about personal lives of people I don't know
apparently there's a photobook for sale on her site now if that's anyone's thing Hayley by Phoenix Johnson
I’m not one to usually speculate on stuff like this, but I’m starting to think we might not be hearing from Paramore for a very long time…
I listened to the song a few times but the lyrics must've been going over my head. Just read them now and wow.
i'm assuming it'll be an extended hiatus of sorts. Hayley has been very adamant that the band isn't breaking up and that it'll exist in some capacity (maybe with Taylor, maybe without), but the way she's spoken about the state of the band in interviews suggests she's hopeful that the three of them will make another album together. having said that, i don't know if songs like this would help that situation, but she's speaking her truth about the situation, so it is what it is. there was also a small part of me that read these lyrics as being about Chad Gilbert instead (the "secret love" element in particular), but now i'm not sure that's the case
I mean, what is Paramore without Taylor at this point? Does Zac contribute to the actual song writing process other than some suggestions and laying down drum tracks? I really don't know. Otherwise, it's kind of just a Hayley solo project with drums from Zac - which, I would not be complaining about either, don't get me wrong. I love them all. Everyone involved in the band is talented and I wish them the best.
i think paramore will be fine editing this to say that i don't even want them back until hayley tours the fuck out of this record. need to see these songs live.
How cool is this setlist from last night of Bleachers x Hayley? Would LOVE if this was released in full, maybe they will in December due to the Christmas song being included. Switched back and forth between Hayley and Bleachers tracks Mirtazapine Modem Girl Kill Me Nothing Is U Love Me Different Merry Christmas, Please Don't Call Good Ol' Days
my hype for Bleachers has died down with their past few albums, but a co-headlining tour with them and Hayley would be fantastic
Yea I don't overly care about Bleachers but a tour with Hayley would be a pretty good fit Love Me Different especially is super cool to see on that setlist
