only just hit me Whim has a bit of a chvrches vibe, that song is really starting to become a favourite
Crazy that in Parachute Hayley is falling back to earth after being stranded on Mars in I Won't Quit on You. Or at least that's how I'm picturing it—such cool imagery. The new sequencing works really well, and there are layers to this that keep hitting me in new ways.
Love to support B&N the defenders of physical media (Plz don’t tell me that their ceo is the worst person alive or that they’re owned by black stone or something )
This is amazing and came out of nowhere for me (both in terms of knowing this was coming out and not ever fully connecting with a Hayley Williams album before). Extra endless kudos for this to actually challenge (and sometimes win) my urge to listen to the new Deftones album. Maybe only two songs on this that while not bad by any means just don’t have the impact on me that the rest of the songs do. So many different vibes on this.
My sister is going through a breakup and has been listening to the album already before the official release and it was destroying her, I told her to avoid Parachute for the time being lol
Shorter? I'm all ready to hear two more songs with the physical release. Hayley's firing on all cylinders with this one.
I love this album more than at least most Paramore albums. Will certainly be in my top 2-3 of the year. But, some of these comments have me thinking Petals for Armor is underrated? This and that are pretty close in quality for me. What a special album for me, released at just the right time for when I needed it.
Yea I was thinking about it and Hayley has now released all of her solo albums while I've been out of work, Petals for Armor/Flowers for Vases because of Covid and this one after leaving my previous toxic job (I did just get hired somewhere recently so it's all good). Feels weirdly apt, like being in the process of starting a new chapter along with her. I still absolutely adore Petals for Armor, I'm not sure which album I would take over the other. I highly enjoy them all.
