I definitely agree that the way this has released has improved my experience with it, I started with the “website order”, listened on shuffle and made my own track order. It’s been a lot of fun and really made each song grow on me* *Discovery Channel I could do without
Would love to see a piece on this album that talks about the “Ego Death…” title and the initial release as 17 simultaneous, unordered singles as the thematic core from which to come at the individual songs. Could probably work the old school computer aesthetic into the take as well. Wonder if “Parachute” will be just another (presumably good) song, bordering on bonus track, or if it’ll be an effective closer to the solidified album.
this is probably gonna be number 2 on my end of year list at this point. just gets better and better with each new listen.
Haven't really listened to these new songs much because it's kind of annoying trying to play in the car when every song is separated into a different single in Apple Music instead of a collection of tracks to play through. I try to be hands-free and use voice commands... I don't want to be scrolling between each single while driving But anyways, just listened to Glum for the first time and it's so good
i really liked Glum the first few times i heard it, but now i can't stop listening to that one. just immaculate.
One of the most beautiful couple of lines I've ever read. I cannot stop thinking about these lyrics: "In the wake of your sunshine, I've never felt so glum. Think I'm made up of moonlight — don't reach quite as far, but I still show up. Stick around for someone. Stick around 'til dawn."
well, good news! It’s coming out as an album at the end of this week, but what stopped you from making a playlist?
Tbh I've just never done that before lol I'll have to do that. Not sure if Google Assistant will be smart enough to pick that up from my voice but I should give that a shot
