I really like making mixes and working on the flow of the mix and track order etc... Gonna spend a bit with these songs and try to craft a perfect order
Just got an email after signing up for the mailing list on her site that has this photo. Just added it as the art for the playlist I made.
I’ve always thought it would be cool if an artist somehow released a bunch of tracks without a set tracklisting. Everyone would burn CDs or make playlists in a different order. One person’s opener would be another person’s song #9. Closers would be hotly contested. Some people’s sequences would be praised, others looked at in horror. It’d be fascinating. Maybe now’s the time haha.
My savior, thank you! That's pretty much the order I used the other day and I felt like it flowed really well
this is also the order on both her YouTube channel and her link in bio thing at the bottom of her website. so i'm gonna assume if there's an official order from her camp, it might be this. i really do like the original order from her mobile site from a couple days ago, but i'll try giving this one a spin as well.
i've gotten used to Kill Me and True Believer starting the album, but i'm ultimately not opposed to Ice/Glum in that position. think i'm more upset about Blood Bros closing the album rather than I Won't Quit on You (even though there was something about the latter that didn't really feel "final" to me, like it could work as a closer, but maybe not an ideal closer, y'know?). idk, i'm open to whatever flows best at this point, official or not. will probably have bot sequences as separate playlists.
The band released a shirt that said “Paramore is my favorite singer” in the same font a while a go so I really do think it is nothing
I just think the opening lines to Kill Me are a perfect beginning to the album and really like Disappearing Man -> Quit as a sendoff
They may have done that at one point but this one is still up on their site. Paramore is my Favorite Singer T-Shirt I (Black) - Paramore Official Store
Wasn’t paying attention and didn’t know this was a thing until I saw a clip on social media, and then went to Spotify and saw all the singles, right before bed. Loving these songs, and loving that they don’t have a structure. (Though, I will have to decide what to call this when I inevitably put it on my end of the year list, lol.) Never got into her second solo album, but Petals for Armor is my favorite thing she’s done. (My second and third are This is Why and Riot!, which I assume is an unconventional ranking.) And, I can already tell that these songs are gonna give PFA a run for its money. Ambitious, playful, great sounds, great art direction, interesting strategy, and just a ton of fun.
PFA is my #1 as well ahead of After Laughter and brand new eyes, this could be a contender for that spot aswell
Finally had my first listen through on the way to work. I really loved pretty much all of it. Listened through on the original order from the site but I want to do another with the Spotify order.
I’m cool with this being a creative way to get people discussing, experimenting with sequencing, etc… BUT I NEED AN OFFICIAL SEQUENCE I’M NOT BUILT FOR THIS. Anyways these songs are rad.
