I’ll have to check them out, I’m familiar with them by name but don’t know their music.

 

Yeah my bad. I'm used to bad faith criticism and dismissal thrown against Paramore and Hailey, not that it's necessarily happening here, so that's where my defensiveness came from.

 

Forgot a big one: Demi Lovato. Her first two albums in particular have a strong Paramore influence, as well as her new song.

Sometimes you won't hear it that easily for sure, meaning not everybody needs to get so similar they end up putting writing credit to the equation. Sophie from Soccer Mommy did mention Paramore being one of her biggest influences (just this one comes off the top of my head) - and the music is pretty different, but it still is quite clear.

 

Tom Delonge recently credited bloc party as an influence. I don’t hear it in the music personally but I’d believe him.

Bloc party was relatively popular in the states during silent alarm but they were immensely popular in the uk and Europe throughout their careers.
