Hawthorne Heights have announced a new virtual tour. Tickets are up on their website.

We miss the stage as much as you miss the power of live music. The way it connects our hearts cannot be stopped. We miss our favorite cities, venues, and fans. STAY HOME is a celebration of all those things. We know it’s weird, we know it’s different, but check this out… Grab your favorite drink, put on your favorite band shirt, and watch an EMO Rock N Roll show from wherever you want. Join us as we play games, tell stories, and of course, perform our songs. Each show will be broadcasted live with professional sound and visual, from us to you. We have teamed up with some great venues in the corresponding cities to help present the shows, but each show is streamed to you at home or wherever you would like to watch. Thank you in advance for keeping our band afloat, and helping us raise money for some of our favorite venues and promoters. Don’t forget to pick up an interactive VIP where you can be featured on the show.

I'm confused as to how this is even working?

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I was confused too, but they explained it a bit more in their Facebook comments. They record the stream at their studio, and these venues are “presenting” the broadcast. You need to be within approximately 100 miles of a city/venue in order for that day’s stream to work for you.

That makes way more sense thanks! So I'm guessing the venues will get some sort of revenue from this too?

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I’m assuming so, but I don’t think they explicitly said so.
