And the reveal I'm sure was played undramatically because it's both an incredibly obvious and not at all surprising reveal, and it's also highly likely not to be the real reveal. Why would they play up as shocking that the guy they think is involved... turns out to be involved?

And he doesn't run the tracksuits, I'm pretty sure he just runs a shell company that houses the tracksuits.

 

Kate’s mom being the real villain instead of Jack is gonna be about as surprising a twist as Sharon being the Power Broker or Agnes being Agatha Harkness

 

I feel like they’re just really slowplaying things and it’s going to get better, I wasn’t exactly ecstatic the first few episodes of daredevil, jessica jones or iron fist tbh

 

Gonna be honest, Sharon being the Power Broker was one of those rumors I thought was absurd at first and my skepticism faded to horror as it became increasingly clear that they were right.

 

Was going to say this. It's cool they worked that aspect of the comic into the show.

 

I definitely think it’s possible that it’s not jack at all and someone is just using him as a shield, not sure he’s even necessarily a bad guy in this

 

The LARPer nicknamed Bombshell caught my eye

 

Kate's parents are probably manipulating Jack, tbh. Jack probably doesn't even know his company is laundering money for the tracksuits. Kate's mom probably set that up without his knowledge. It'll be a classic "evil step-parent turns out to not actually be evil" situation. they cast Tony Dalton in the role as a red herring so that everything he says and does automatically seems menacing because of our prior associations with him as an actor.

 

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but Jessica Jones Season 1 has the only supporting cast members out of all the Netflix shows that I wanted to put on a rocket and send to the moon.

 

Hey Malcolm was great

 

Malcolm was great. There's a couple of very specific people I'm talking about, and if you think about the most annoying people in Season 1, you can probably figure it out.

 

I don't see this leading into a second season the way Loki did. But if they're giving Kate the Hawkeye mantle, I could see Hailee reprising the role in a movie (which was the original plan for this show)

That's incredibly dumb. Why would Instagram care about a Disney film? Is Disney funneling them a bunch of money?

 

I doubt Disney has anything to do with it. Probably upset fans or trolls flagging her post.

 

Yeah I think I saw a tiktok complaining about a tiktok complaining about being spoiled.

 

It's better because it's not even spoilers, it's just pictures from the episode that just aired.

This definitely feels like a one shot show, like as far as setting up the new Hawkeye in Kate while giving Clint a proper send off before he rides into the sunset.

 

Also, some people need to chill out with their reactions to spoilers. Like I get it but reporting Florence on Instagram and getting her post blocked over her talking about her cameo in the show is so petty and childish.

 

Yeah she was excited for her scene in a show we all knew she was gonna be in, let her be

Its not even a spoiler lol. The very last thing we saw of Yelena before this episode was someone walking up to her and saying “Go be in Hawkeye now”. If this were Kingpin, sure that could be a spoiler, but how is it a spoiler to say a character that’s been publicly confirmed to be in a show is in fact in the show?

 

Clint needs to live or else Natasha's sacrifice was for nothing.
