Now that we all think it’s Kingpin they are gonna pull the swerve and it’s gonna be Mephisto

You guys are all missing the clear nod to Waid's run on Daredevil here. It's gonna be The Owl

I would actually laugh if that were true.

ok yeah the latest episode was really good. I truly thought it had 20 minutes or so left when it ended, though, that was abrupt. actually excited for next week now

appreciation post for Hailee's delivery of "hope you have a dongle arrow to go with it", I laughed out loud

The episode synopsis promises a lot more than it delivers lol.

Also the opening was... weirdly paced? Jack lets them go because he spots Hawkeye, then literally right after we find out he's involved with the Tracksuits. Feels like they wrote themselves into a corner with the cliffhanger and so we have to have a comedic opening to undo some of the tension...only to go right back to "Jack bad".

Very much felt like pieces being put into place for dramatic reveals next week and the finale in two weeks.

Not that that's bad, I loved the scenes of Kate and Clint celebrating Christmas together, just a step down from last week's episode, which I think was the best so far.

  9. Just realized another reason the episodes are so underwhelming, they're too damn short! Even just five more minutes of runtime per episode would've really helped, I think. Still, what we've gotten is very much enjoyable so far and I'm excited to see how this all plays out.

That last fight scene was kinda hard to follow on my tv, had to watch it again on my pc. Maybe I need to turn up the brightness on my tv or something.

I agree that the fight was badly lit. Maybe just badly executed in general; an article I read pointed out having three people of similar build in dark clothing fighting on a rooftop at night is maybe not a great creative decision.

That said, I enjoyed the episode in general and I'm really hoping they don't crush everybody with whoever is behind all this, because they really seem to be leaning into the mystery of who everyone works for. Who is Maya's boss? Who did Eleanor call? Although I actually am starting to wonder if it's Kate's dad after all. That would be a pretty bonkers twist.

Also wondering now who the watch belongs to. It can't be Tony because then Hawkeye wouldn't be worried about repercussions to whoever the watch belongs to. It has to be someone who if discovered would then be in danger, but I can't think of any comic characters tied to a watch.

Just read a theory on the web about the watch's owner that makes a lot of sense the more I think about it.

    It could belong to Laura.

    1. The watch was brought up by Laura, not by Clint, so it's something that leapt to her mind specifically.

    2. The watch belongs to someone who hasn't "been in the game" for a while and could have their cover blown by it. Perhaps someone off the grid?

    3. We've never seen Laura off the farm. At the beginning of this show, the family was all together except for her. Can she maybe not be seen in public?

    4. She clearly has connections and resources since she's been helping Clint solve this mystery that he's on. Maybe from her time being in the field?

It's a very compelling possibility, and thematically appropriate.

I really want to like this because Steinfeld is perfectly cast and I love Matt Fraction’s run but it’s not really clicking for me

  17. As they're introducing Kate and Echo, and bringing in Yelena and potentially Fisk, Clint is the least interesting part of all of this. They've finally got him opening up about Nat at least, but he's yet to address this Ronin business in any meaningful way.

I started rewatching Narcos and now every time I see Pedro, I just want him to put on the suit and like lay waste to drug cartels.

episode was super weird lmao. has Tony Dalton been doing this weird British accent the whole time and I'm too dumb to have noticed or did it get way more overt this episode? also yeah the reveal he runs the tracksuits could not have been played less dramatically lmao that was bizarre

the whole trick arrow subplot was insanely unnecessary, we've only got 2 more episodes and we had to revisit the LARPers for this?

great to see Yelena but that fight scene was borderline incomprehensible. also was she... dressed as Night Monkey? why??

Wondered how many episodes it was. If it's 6 like Loki I assume that means a second season is planned?

Not necessarily. FATWS had 6 episodes and it's self-contained. In fact, we don't even know if Loki Season 2 will follow directly on from Season 1.

It's my understanding that it's a reference to one of her comics outfits.

Also, call me a pleb, but I like that the LARPers were used again. It's fun, it's funny, and I enjoy that it's pissing other people off. It's great.
