Uncle is Kate’s father, he’s not really dead. He and Kate’s mother faked his death.

 

I have not seen any Marvel movies and the trailers looked trash, but I am very much loving this so far lol. Episode 2 was the best imo so far

Oh I've been assuming that about Kate's dad all along, but I would still be surprised if he's the uncle.

Ep 3 was great, and I didn’t consider it to be Kingpin til this thread. So not sure they really are setting us up for failure. I’m sure whatever the reveal is will be good.

 

I think I only considered Kingpin because I saw tiktoks about him being in Echo's backstory in the comics.

 

In the comics that character from Echo’s backstory is Kingpin. Also Kingpin is behind the tracksuit bros in the Fraction Hawkeye series. So they know exactly what they’re doing.

 

Clarification here: Kingpin is not affiliated with the Tracksuit Draculas in the comics. There's a meeting between crime leaders where they discuss how Hawkeye is messing with their business and that's where the Tracksuit Draculas offer to handle it. Kingpin is present as a crime leader. That's the extent of their connection.

I guess I'm trying to say that Kingpin is as associated with them as Hammerhead, Tombstone, Madame Masque, Mister Negative, the Owl, etc. are.

They're another gang in a sea of gangs. They're a small fry gang, sure, but they're there as a partner, not as underlings.

Also for the record I’ve always considered Kingpin to be “above” all those other characters as well. Maybe that’s just me. There’s a reason he’s at the head of the table and is known as “the Kingpin” lol

 

That's as maybe. My point is that Kingpin is only as associated with the Tracksuits as he is with every other crime family in the comics.

 

Also the front where Echo's dad was killed by Ronin at was literally called "Fatman Auto" or something like that. I don't know if they could be more obvious.
