Binged the series today in one run. Pretty enjoyable. Don't see everyone's problem with the musical post-credits, beyond Kingpin they wrapped up all the threads just fine, and like.... cutting away from the gunshot just seems sensible for the continuing story the MCU tells but uh I'm an idiot so whatever lol

 

Some deleted scenes have been coming out that look like they would've revealed Kingpin much earlier in the show. Kind of wish they'd done that to help ease his appearance in the final episode instead of making it a mystery.

would've been hilarious if the Ice Cream scene was D'Onofrio's first on-screen appearance since Daredevil

also, that scene with Clint as a child is better than like 90% of the actual show. wild that they cut that and not like, a police officer calling Kate who is never mentioned again and which set up absolutely no story developments whatsoever

 

They cut the follwup on that too (for no reason since it's like a minute long scene)

 

yeah and even the followup doesn't actually go anywhere lmao. we learn an unmarked car is outside Kate's house and then the entire rest of the season has no indication Kate is being surveilled by police? and they never just like, call her again to try and get the statement? the whole subplot should have been cut entirely

 

Also, I get that they cut the Fisk/Eleanor scene because they wanted to keep him a surprise, but... They could have easily used that as a flashback scene after Kate shows Clint the photo of him

 

yeah it really should've opened the last episode. I wouldn't have felt so cheated by the amount of Fisk in the show if it had

 

Wild they put all that effort in to those flashbacks to use none of them.

 

I feel like this would definitely be part of a Hawkeye origin show had they not went with kate

 

It's honestly baffling to me that there would even be deleted scenes of this magnitude for a streaming show.

It's not like it's a network show where they have a limited runtime or a movie where they have to consider number of showings.

It's a streaming show that people can watch whenever they want for as long as they want. They can make the episodes any length they damn well please.

 

I actually liked this a lot more than I thought I would, just the right length for me and Renner and especially Steinfeld are great (and I liked discount Paul F Tompkins as the stepfather)

Is this a miniseries setting Steinfeld's character to start showing up in the movies or are we going to get another season?

 

Probably just a miniseries. It seems like Marvel is leading to Young Avengers, so I don’t we’ll get another show solely focused on Renner and Steinfeld.

Maybe another Hawkeye show starring Steinfeld later on.

If Renner stays in the MCU then he’ll most likely lead the West Coast Avengers (which is probably where he and Ant-Man will be after Ant-Man 3).
