Truly can’t believe they actually delivered this time and weren’t just leading us on. Goddamn the finale next week is going to be hype.

 

Yeah, I do understand all that, I just wish we saw what was said in order to manipulate Yelena. Surely, a normal person's first reaction would be "huh, but they're best friends and love each other! I'm going to need some actual evidence here, random stranger who I've never met before!"

 

So is Val working with Kingpin or do they just have a mutual associate? If they are that tosses a wrench in the Thunderbolts and/or Dark Avengers theory unless Kingpin is somehow involved with that.

Also, I love the dread that Kingpin is already given Clint. You know this Kinglin is going to be ruthless.

 

As Anthony posted on the previous page, it's logical that the connecting link is Eleanor. Kingpin and Eleanor are working together for unknown reasons. Eleanor hired Yelena through Val, but we don't know if it was on Kingpin's behalf or not.

 

I’m assuming Val has no direct connection to Kingpin, largely because Yelena doesn’t know who he is. Seems like Eleanor brought them into the picture herself. Although who knows, maybe Fisk recommended Val once Eleanor told him Clint was sniffing around.

 

From our perspective that may seem obvious but remember, Yelena doesn’t know Clint. All she knows about him is what other people have told her. And if she trusts Val (bad idea for her to do that but she may) then if Val tells her Clint killed Natasha, well, I can accept that she’d believe it. Especially after learning what he did when he was Ronin. Plus, remember, Clint is the only one who truly knows for a fact how she died.

 

So is the Black Widow stinger supposed to take place after Elenor finds out Kate is working with Clint, or does she have a pre-existing beef that would cause her to call for a hit. That’s the only part I’m missing.

 

It seems like that takes place during this show.

enjoyed the episode overall but man whoever's idea it was to have the cliffhanger reveal be... a low-quality pic on Kate's phone was truly off chops. when I saw it trending was fully expecting D'Onofrio stepping out of the shadows with a "WHEN I WAS A BOY" monologue. this was so anti-climactic lmao

There’s gotta be a season 2 right? Maybe not focused on Clint but how are you gonna introduce Kingpin so late in the game like this

Yeah for sure.

And Kate is going to be in the movies now too. Not sure this one is destined for a season 2.

 

Except she’s talking about being on a break, so Val is clearly who she’s taking contract work from. Plus I’m pretty sure Val hands her a file, not just a picture of Clint.

Edit: just watched it, it was an iPad, not a file. But still, I highly doubt she just showed her a picture and said “go kill!”. Having a scene where she explains why isn’t necessary either IMO.

 

It’s wild that the season finale is already next week

They should also give d’onofrio his own show tbh

(I'm kidding I adore Charlie Cox but D'onofrio absolutely stole the first season)

 

Just watched the episode and I’m so hyped for the finale. I thought this show was going to be ten episodes for some reason, but I’m curious how they’re going to wrap this up. I really hope it’s open ended.

 

This morning I rewatched the cold open and the scenes with Kate/Yelena and Clint/Maya. Very good episode. Every other live action Marvel/Disney+ show has had an upward trajectory up until the last episode or two, here's hoping Hawkeye will deliver on this momentum.

 

It’s cool other being are loving this but it’s boring the shit out of me. I think I just have MCU fatigue.

 

yeah i mean it isn’t very good at all but there have certainly been worse things. i’m excited for fisk

I thought Kingpin was great in this. Excited for Echo.

I guess this leaves the door open for Hawkeye to start the West Coast Avengers?

 

Loved the finale. Good balance of action, comedy, and character moments. Flo is so good in everything. Yelena's interactions with Kate are hilarious, but her scene with Clint was just ugh right in the feels
