Oh wow, I didn't realise this band had everyone leave last year. How strange. This song doesn't do much for me sadly.
This band is very boring to begin with. They were my first show in 2012 when they toured with Dads and I haven't been impressed any of the times I've seen them
Idk, Let's Talk About Your Hair and When I Sleep are pretty fantastic songs. I had high hopes based on some of the stuff on that first album.
almost definitely not as far as I know but I know nothing maybe the two dudes are making a killing hosting emo night lol
They're pretty easily the best. There's a few others I really like on that album as well though. Wasn't a big fan of the second album and don't like these new songs at all.
I loved the first album entirely. Level Head, This Old Ark, and Cigarettes & Old Perfume are all some of my favourites.
1. Let's Talk About Your Hair 2. When I Sleep 3. Weak at the Knees 4. Level Head Is probably how I'd rank my favs.
So much hate on A Place Of Our Own :( Thought that album was super solid honestly. And the Ace Enders feature was fantastic
It was a good album, but just nowhere near as good as their debut I guess. I honestly thought this band could have become the new Brand New style band from our scene.
Seem's like the band is petering out more than anything. Disappointed to see all the other members have left.
New song And an Interview Have Mercy Drop a 'Baby Grand' of Emotion He talks about being the sole member of the band and such.
I was just thinking while doing my first listen of the record (halfway through right now) that he could learn a lot from the dynamics and patience of a record like The Devil and God... He seemed to grasp that on The Earth Pushed Back but then started trying to be more of a "rock band" on these two releases. I will say, this record does a lot more for me than A Place of Our Own.
Man, this is disappointing. I loved their first two albums but this is so limp and uninteresting. It feels completely half-assed. I think this album could have been their chance to try some new stuff, hone their sound, really establish themselves as an interesting emo/alt band, but instead we get a straight up boring, one dimensional record. I'm bummed.
Album is decent, but that's about it. Definitely not near "The Earth Pushed Back" quality, I don't think they will ever reach that again. It's very one dimensional, I'm gonna give it a few more spins before I have a firm opinion on it, only listened to it once.
