obsessed with this. Shaping up to be better than her debut which is saying something.

 

I feel like this album hasn't been getting as much hype as the last one

 

Just gave it my first couple spins and it's solid altogether. As much as I enjoy her EP and first record, the weaker songs on this one are the ones that sound most familiar. When Hatchie gets darker, dance-ier, or even dreamier—it works, so I'm hoping whatever she does next really swings for the fences.

 

Enjoying this so far

 

I had huge expectations after the EP, and I admit I was slightly disappointed by the debut and how much it blended together. This is a significant step up in comparison. Embracing more overtly poppy melodies works in her favor as well. The Rhythm is entrancing.

 

Really wanna love this but am finding it a bit meandering rn. Maybe more listens will help. "This Enchanted" is great though, what a song

 

I liked some of the singles, but its kinda bland. Going for the same sound as everyone else at this point.

Primal Scream, Cocteau Twins, shoegaze - amazing collection of influences channeled into an excellent collection of songs

 

Hasnt hit me immediately either, which is a shame cause I love all her past work, and the singles for this. Giving it time to grow.

 

Just finally getting to this and I dig it. “Thinking Of” should soundtrack a wilderness hike.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention, half this album's tracks stuck have been in my head the past week. I can't quite define it but something about this feels so 90s, early 00s to me. She just really captures the pop music of that era so well, it's a nostalgia trip for me.
