I don't believe this is true for multiple reasons but this is the harmless kind of fan speculation that amuses me
100% agree. you and i could for sure do 20 shows at carnegie hall and then a turkey trot, but this is a bit much
Tried to get a ticket for Sat Oct 3rd. Entered the queue at 33,000. Sold out before I had a chance to attempt at buying a ticket lol
Was in one of the queues this morning at about 5,000 and still nothing! At least they have the little message that tells you that the $50 and $90 are all sold out which is frustrating but nice at the same time.
unfortunately, this is a bit of a mixed bag for me. maybe only two songs hit the same way Aperture did for me (Taste Back and a little bit of Pop). i think i was really expecting more songs in that vein, but a good chunk of songs sound really similar to his past few albums, and when he does try something new, it doesn't really stand out.
Drags a bit at the end but I liked the last two tracks a lot. Overall I don't think there's anything on here nearly as good as Aperture, but I enjoy the record and think he's doing more interesting stuff than he usually does
Aperture is the best thing here, a lot of it does sound like his older stuff though. Was really hoping this would be more adventurous, it might be time for him to start bringing in some new producers to work with. Really glad I didn't stop $1k on tickets to the MSG residency after hearing this. I really was expecting something different especially with having Jamie xx as an opener for the residency run.
i don't think the album is bad by any means, but i think the single showed a lot of potential for something more creative, and imo, not many songs really build upon that potential
Maybe my expectations were super low and they were exceeded. In my experience with the other records (my wife plays Harry's House pretty often in the car and I dig a few tracks), this has a different sonic palette that draws from more 80s/synthy stuff or like LCD Soundsystem.
was there any truth to the rumors that he scrapped an entire album? i remember reading it was really sad.
