I guess a better way for me to describe my feelings towards it is that even the best 1D songs still felt VERY polished and contributed to by a bunch of people like most modern pop music is... they could be very good songs, but still felt like "committee" songs rather than a singular vision. Even though I could fault "Sign of the Times" for being a bit too drawn-out and bombastic, and therefore less "tight" than the best 1D songs, I still like it more because it feels more passionate and personal to me. That's just me though.
I'm enjoying "Sweet Creature" btw, reminiscent melodically of some Paul McCartney/Beatles acoustic tracks, which I think is probably what they were going for. Probably my least favorite of the three tracks so far, but it's a very pretty song.
Idk it doesn't really feel any more personal to me aside from his voice. I do think he got to experiment with it more which is cool. Otherwise it's a good song that kinda goes nowhere and has the same vague and vapid lyrics they always had. Haven't heard the new one yet tho
Yeah lyrically it's definitely nothing special... I mostly just like the melodies/compositions on his new songs more I guess, and like you said his vocals.
one of the tweets on screen was "Harry's laugh is like the eight wonder of the world" and that made me laugh a little.
lol but for real I'm glad that there seems to be more stuff in a fun 'rock' direction and not all just soft boy acoustic guitar *hears blackbird once* jams
both definitely have stans that will encourage people to buy on ITunes, I always forget there are still people who don't just do Spotify
If we all just buy the album 3 times and leave our spotifys streaming all night, then we can get it to #1
