Very ready for SNL and that second single!! I’m hooked on Lights Up now.

Tonight! Looks like the new song is likely called “Watermelon Sugar”, that one is now listed as Track 2 of the album on Apple Music.

 

So far neither of these are sticking for me like the first album, which is funny because my sister just texted me to say she loves these more.

The live performances are great... I especially like the slowed-down version of Lights Up!

 

I can see that, these songs do have kind of a different vibe than the first album, almost... breezier I guess? I'm personally really into it, but am hoping we get some of those first album vibes on some songs. There's a couple 6-minute songs on the full tracklist that we haven't heard yet, so I'm very curious for those.

 

I'm here for it. These 2 songs are great.

 

Somehow managed pit tickets for the MSG show and I'm psyched. The first album was kind of a grower for me, so not super worried that these songs aren't grabbers out of the gate, though I am liking "Watermelon Sugar" quite a bit. Plus, he's just absolutely awesome live.

 

I wake up with Watermelon Sugar in my head every day. I have no idea what the song is supposed to be about but I love it so much.

 

I'll let this interview answer that... (sorry, I know it's long and I don't know what time in the video it comes up because I can't listen to it atm, I think it's around the 25 minute mark based on his facial expression)
