I like it so far. I went with what the hat picked for me which was Slytherin.

 

I’ll let the game give me an option, but ultimately I’m going to choose ravenclaw lol

A lot of them are right wingers who wouldn’t have been interested in the game if they didn’t know it was being boycotted.

 

Highly doubt. I’d assume a lot of them are people who have looked forward to an open world game based on the harry potter universe for years and want to see people play it before it’s officially released on the 10th.

I can assure you that the right wingers on twitter do not make up the majority of people playing this game. Most of us just want to play a fun game that lets us be a wizard (that got really good reviews, as well)

 

first of all the numbers are for people watching which absolutely includes the right wingers generating interest in their little bubble by proudly standing next to a transphobe

 

second of all the amount of gamers that are also right wing means that yes, the majority of people playing this game are probably right wingers. if not over 50% its definitely not any less than 40% if i had to guess.

 

So you think the right wingers on twitter make up the majority percentage of people watching streamers on twitch?

 

i think they make a not insignificant amount yeah

 

There’s no way to find out their percentage, but I just don’t think really think the people who claim to be liking this game out of spite will be making twitch accounts just to watch a random person play the game. The game is a very highly anticipated game so the 1.2 million watchers doesn’t really seem like they need a push from a high number of right wingers.

I think people are just hyped to play and watch the game out of love for the franchise.

Honestly after watching a little bit it looks like the exact kind of open world design I can’t stand. Billions of little icons all over the map to the point where doing anything feels meaningless and checklist-y. I’m not that upset about missing this one.

Also, yeah, it had a lot of twitch viewers earlier. But I've watched games like New World and Lost Ark hit a million on launch day and I can tell you New World isn't doing so hot. Twitch is also doing in game drops for the game so that's going to boost it a fuck ton.

 

The drops and that people have early access for buying the deluxe edition so that’s bringing in people who want to watch the game before their copy arrives.

 

sadly I think this game will do insane numbers, especially since the reviews are also quite positive so the only valid reason not to play it is moral superiority.

 

its a really good game. make a trans character and stream it on twitch if you want to stick it to JK Rowling.

 

I’d rather spend the money on trans wife’s HRT meds as a way to stick it to JK.

 

could do both. support the game devs who did nothing wrong.

 

The game devs were paid to do a job. They are not owed support because of this reason.
