I love that movie lol Worst for me is probably Order of the Phoenix. I still love it, but something has to be at the bottom of the book. My least favorite book too
This is a fine take, there is just SO much information in the book that is tough to convey in movie form. The book itself is a lot to take in too. Least favorite book for me is probably Half-blood Prince for these same reasons, but I feel like part of me just didn't get all of it when reading it.
I need to rewatch the movies again to determine what is the worst. Maybe Chamber of Secrets? I don’t think there is a worst book, they’re all pretty good. I don’t think I’ll reread Order of the Phoenix, though.
i don't know which one i'd say is the worst but for me, the one i did a complete 180 on upon a recent re-watch is Prisoner. I remember hating that one when I saw it originally, but would probably now put it in the top 3 maybe top 2. I need to watch Sorcerer's Stone again, I think that's the one I've seen the least amount of times, as opposed to the Deathly Hallows Pt. II being probably the one I've seen the most, as I always manage to find it on TV when it's like an hour from being over. I think I've seen the last 45 mins. of DHpII more than any other movie in recent memory just because of how often it's on TV lol
Goblet of fire and deathly hallows (pt.2 for movies) are my favorite book and movie. In my head 1, 4, and 7/8 are the pillars of the series and the rest filter in my rankings depending on mood. Growing up 3 and 5 were probably my least favorite for book and movie, not as clear now. 3 has aged the best of the rest though.
I can agree with that. Goblet of Fire is the longest book, isn’t it? I do remember feeling a bit let down when I first saw the movie that a number of things were left out, but I haven’t read the books in years now, so I’m more forgiving now haha
Goblet has the biggest quality drop from book to movie. So much important character stuff was cut in favor of a dumb dragon action sequence. However, the graveyard scene was done pretty well.
I believe Goblet is the longest. Same with me, I haven't reread the books and read up through Goblet when they released and a huge gap for me reading 5-7 so I'm probably forgetting a ton
The longest book is Order of the Phoenix with 766 pages. Goblet of Fire has 636 pages, which makes it the 2nd biggest.
Goblet of Fire is my favorite book, which makes it my favorite movie as well. I'll admit it's not the best movie, though. Overall, I think either Azkaban or Deathly Hallows 1&2 are the best movies.
I did, it wasn’t bad. Quick watch. Some of the questions were pretty easy, a few were brutally difficult.
How about a ranking? Movies: Goblet of Fire Deathly Hallows 2 Prisoner of Azkaban Deathly Hallows 1 Order of the Phoenix Half Blood Prince Sorcerer’s Stone Chamber of Secrets
Order of the Phoenix is my favorite book and least favorite movie. Love an angsty Harry, but mannnnnn they had to cut so much because it’s such a long book.
Yeah Ginny was sidelined in the films but that’s what happens when the studio wants them to be a certain running time.
Movie ranking: Goblet of Fire Deathly Hallows 2 Prisoner of Azkaban Philosopher’s Stone Deathly Hallows 1 Half Blood Prince Chamber of Secrets Order of the Phoenix
