I'm watching all of the films for the first time right now. Just finished Half Blood Prince. Boy did I hate the filter on it. Just a very ugly looking movie.
The fact that the original cast is coming back together for a reunion like this has me convinced that there will be a Cursed Child movie with the original cast at some point.
I think you’re right, I think they published the script in book form though? I should have worded it differently
Voldemort has a secret daughter who is secretly evil and tricks Harry's and Draco's sons into messing up the past.
There’s been a lot of talk lately about turning it into a film. Chris Columbus said something recently about being interested in turning it into a film with the original cast, so it’s gained some traction. As for the play itself… the story has some issues, definitely. It’s also one of the coolest stage productions I’ve ever seen, so there’s potential there for a movie.
Cursed Child is pretty good. The problem is that a lot people that read it as a book (it being Harry Potter and all) don't understand the difference between reading a book and reading a play.
I will say I don't actually remember anything from Cursed Child apart from some angst, not even the main plot points Henry mentioned lol
Making a film would give them an opportunity to let Albus and Scorpius actually end up together, which is what should have happened in the play.
If the original cast returns for another film would it have to be the cursed child? Maybe a new original story would be better compared to adopting a play.
I saw the play in London (both parts) and it is incredible in that setting but the characterisation of Harry just didn’t work for me. A theatrical visual masterpiece though.
If they make an adaption of it they shouldn’t because it’s not what happens. It doesn’t matter though.
