good flick!

 

The wait for this has been unbearable.

 

What a film. Leigh takes back his throne.

 

I hope Moses just shows up at his aunt's house one day

God what an uncomfortable experience

 

It's so tragic because she knows how off putting she is. She is self flagellating even though no one wants to blame her.

 

A girl offering a sad oafish young man a piece of candy was the most positive affirmation of life in a 2024 movie.

 

definitely brings a more substantive definition to the phrase "hurt people hurt people"

 

And that small moment of connection suggests that Moses is going to close the cycle, even if his parents are irreparably broken.

Around the time of the dentist I didn't know how much more of her I could take. Thankfully that is when it turns pretty dramatically.

 

An incredible achievement. Impossible to overstate how good Marianne Jean-Baptiste is in this.

 

i don't think leigh's work fully hits for me tonally but he always gets incredible performances from his cast. insane how good everyone in this is.
