Goddamn the new record rocks. It sounds like Joey singing over some Quicksand-esque instrumentals with a sprinkle of FIL added here and there and Im loving that combo. Also extra points for the Elden Ring reference (Godskin).

 

Not surprising but I also love this.

The Hard Chiller record has been out for a couple weeks now. Hope you are enjoying it.

We went to Ventura, Ca recently to a friends spot to do film a few of the songs live. Our buddy Robert flew in to film and edit, he killed it. The studio is mostly used for metal bands, it's a great place with awesome gear and plenty of rooms for whatever. We tracked the album drums there and they sound amazing.

These sessions turned out so great. We decided to have me in the room with everyone knowing that the drums would bleed into my microphone and kind of blow everything out, but I think the punk energy is awesome and worth it. A lot of "live" sessions coming out lately, it's pretty obvious the vocals were re-tracked afterwards. We were really into how much energy is infused into the vibes of this. You know without a doubt that we are all in the room playing together because the sound is so raw.

This is part of the freedom of this project, caring less about the technical stuff and just doing rock shit.

 

live video is awesome btw. can't wait to see them live. Was kinda hoping Joey wouldn't be playing guitar and just fronting the band on stage. Bet that would be so uncomfortable for him.
