    My Dad, whom I haven't spoken to in like 5 years, texted me Happy Thanksgiving and I responded "Happy Thanksgiving! We'd love to call you sometime today!" And then he responded with where he'd be and he's excited to hear from us. I did not mean to text him. I thought it was my Aunt's cell phone but I also don't have their number saved in my phone. So.... yeah. I think I'll just not call him, because of the fallout 5 years ago.

    But, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    I don't know your situation or what fallout happened, but man, that sounds super awkward on all fronts, especially if he's as excited as you say.
