Did they really make a big deal about bringing back a woman over 30 and then violently kill her off in ten minutes?

 

yea. Biggest flaw of the movie imo

 

The Eric Andre/Margaret Qualley/Martin Herlihy recreational golf buds segment felt like an ad to get young people to go out and play golf on their local course for fun. And honestly it kinda worked on me. I kinda wanna go golfing now.

Also them casting basically every top ten PGA player and the whole plot being about how golf is cool the way it is kinda felt like a big pitch to get people interested in watching golf.

 

Perfect movie 5/5 exactly what I wanted

 

The second half of the movie is quite silly

 

Better than I expected for sure.

 

I love that Maxi Golf is basically the XFL

 

I’ve seen all the post-decade+ comedy sequels and I don’t think there’s ever been one that made reference to every single joke in the original.

That said, way better than I expected. So funny and goofy. Bad Bunny pulls off a Jon Turturro in “Mr. Deeds” by stealing the show.

 

It felt like it started off as a LIV Golf goof and turned into the XFL.

 

Yeah my main thought coming out of this was that Benito has major crossover movie star potential.

 

still surprised they went full Simon Birch

 

Loved the first hour or so, I just wished they reeled in the maxi stuff a bit. Still way better than I expected.

 

Thought this was entertaining and took me back in time. The original is my favorite Adam Sandler movie. It has the rewatch factor. I did not get that with this sequel though.

as far as new Adam Sandler movies go….Hubie Halloween is where it’s at. Would love a sequel to that one. Even if it takes place around another holiday.

 

When Jon Lovitz says "go back to your mow-byle home!" made me laugh

 

Just finished. Laughed the entire time. Zalatoris was hysterical!

 

Hubie Halloween is something I have to watch every October. I think my gf is dreading it already.

 

Get a Happy Halloweener T-shirt wear on top of it lol.

Just finished it. Thought it was great. Goofy, silly, entertaining, and nostalgic.
