These guys rule!

And they're recording a new Christmas album! Snowed In was and still is one of my favorite Christmas albums to put on, so I'm very excited for this.

Anyway, discuss...

Underneath is my favorite Hanson album

 

Taylor might be my favorite vocalist. Like overall. Not just in this band

 

Haven't listened to this band in years, but one of their songs popped into my head today (and it wasn't even MMMBop this time) and I haven't been able to shake it. I always respected them growing up, super talented guys

 

The Walk is one of the best albums of all time

 

it's cool when you realize that MMMBop is actually a very deep sad song

 

The Walk is one of my favourite pop records. I remember Anton reviewing it for AP.net back in the day.

 

The Walk is a masterpiece. Shout It Out is no slouch either.

 

I still love Underneath so much I haven't listened to The Walk enough though.

 

Listening to "If Only".. such a great song lol

 

I only checked that song out for the first time a year or so ago, so I can say without any nostalgia that, yeah, it's a great song

for my birthday, my girlrfiend got us tickets to see Hanson in October. it'll be my third time seeing them, and i'm stoked!

Awesome! I'm seeing them in October. I wonder if it'll be a setlist similar to this tracklist, like a greatest hits tour, or if it'll be a MON anniversary tour where they play that whole album. Either way, I'm stoked to see them for the 3rd time!

 

FUCKING FINALLY!!! They've been teasing this thing for like 2 years almost, right? I was shocked that it didn't come out last year. Their Christmas album is in my top 5 fav X-Mas records.

 

Fuuuuuck yes! Snowed In was so great. Love that they're doing this.

Also, holy shit. The live version of A Song To Sing on their greatest hits is incredible.

I broke my "no Christmas music before November" rule to listen to Finally It's Christmas and it was totally worth the 20 year wait. It's actually kind of amazing how it "mirrors" Snowed In, having some fun original tunes, great takes on rock Christmas classics (Zac's take on "Please Come Home," sing it, drummer boy!) as well as some reflective Christmas standards. Love these dudes and am pretty psyched they are hitting New York on their mini Christmas tour so that I can hear these tunes live!

 

Stoked for whatever it may be. Fingers crossed for an experimental, post-rock take on Middle of Nowhere.
