Perth in Western Australia. They did the first half of the set acoustic, second half electric. Trenton is a really good vocalist
This looks to be a very murky situation Sub Judice: The law stopping Hands Like Houses from making a statement
Wasn’t sure where else to post this…this is a bummer. :( Haven’t really listened to this band for a while but they have been in my life for a really long time. Since the first Lion Skin demo.
How is there a future without the lead singer? Yes, I know bands have replaced their singer before but this feels different.
Yeah this is bloody weird. Trenton seemed like a great guy and was so intrinsic to this band's sonic DNA - might listen out of pure curiosity going forward, but not really too keen on HLH without him.
Yeah this is a huge bummer. Very little interest in Hands Like Houses without Trenton from me either.
I revisited Ground Dweller this morning, I forgot how good that album is. They should ask Zach Britt from Dream On, Dreamer / Young Lions to sing for them
bummed he left but with the false allegations, the pandemic, and that last EP doing nothing for them I'm not too surprised he bailed. glad i got to see em a couple times during their run! this one off single will always be one of my favorites from em!
Their first two albums hold a special place in my younger self’s uni years but everything after sort of dropped off for me.
Definitely agreed. I still enjoyed what came after, but it was diminishing returns for sure after the first two albums.
Unimagine and Dissonants were very good. Didn't vibe with Anon, but the HLH EP they released at the tail-end of 2020 was really impressive.
Welcome to the new era! We are thrilled to share with you the next chapter of HLH and welcome our new vocalist Josh Raven. We have just released a new song called ‘Heaven’ as well as announced a string of intimate tour dates in March 2024. We have a brand new show ready which will feature some spicy takes of our classics as well as new songs and a taste of whats coming from us. We can’t wait to get back on stage and we hope to see you there! We crossed paths with Josh at a pivotal point of our soul searching and he has inserted such a positive shift within us. We took a deep dive down the road that got us here, and imagined what that would look and sound like with this fresh energy and enthusiasm. We have rediscovered a deep love for creating and a positive environment to share ideas and for the first time since before ground dweller, we are an independent band. We took a step back and returned to the fundamentals of why we started this in the first place, the music. This next chapter will explore a plethora of sounds and ideas that are inspiring and motivating to us as a collective, and we look forward to sharing this process with you all.
This popped up on Spotify and I didn't even realize there was a change of singer. Song was fine but totally forgettable.
