Saw the trailer for this in front of bugonia and I think it looks really really good. Unfortunately it won’t be playing near me until December
this worked for me. maybe could've had a little more of something in the second act but i thought the first 40-ish minutes and the ending are truly remarkable. i also did not give jessie buckley her due, clearly
yeah, Jessie Buckley's excellent in this. a couple moments did not land for me (when Shakespeare starts riffing his Hamlet soliloquy), but overall I thought this was a lovely film. def enjoyed it more than Nomadland
looks better than Wicked imo and there's not much else left I haven't seen yet besides Rental Family and Jay Kelly (which isn't playing at AMC) edit: oh, and I guess there's this new Benedict Cumberbatch thing, maybe I'll check that out
Just saw this. As someone who very much disliked Eternals and remember not being as high on Nomadland as others I was skeptical but I really enjoyed this. Jessie Buckley is phenomenal and Paul Mescal is great too.
Jessie Buckley this (she's phenomenal and deserves the hype), Paul Mescal that (hes good) but my god the kid who plays Hamnet was outstanding. Emily Watson also is really great but Buckley and Jacobi Jupe (Hamnet) were extraordinary.
I thought this was good. Really good story, and especially the acting, of the loss of a child. The score was pretty great as well. I was kind of lost with what was happening in the play at the end.
