I can't believe I managed to snag such good seats at asking price! Granted, I have to wait almost a year to see it, I'm still hyped that I'll officially be seeing this damn thing!
For fans of Hamilton and podcasts, The Room Where It's Happening (a Hamilton fan podcast) had Alex Lacamoire on it for a great discussion about the composition of the show. I would highly recommend checking it out if you'd like to know more about the show's music composition.
The mixtape is refreshing and fun. Some of the songs didn't turn out how I thought or maybe I expected something more but I am pleased in general.
Hey, I came a cross this really cool version on Satisfied. It's done by Jeannette Bayardelle. I believe she was Celie in the OBC of The Color Purple. Check it out!
Been listening to this again the past few days and man, it’s just so great. I tried to check ticket prices since I’ll be in New York for thanksgiving and they’re still astronomically stupidly high. Sigh. Someday.
THE FARMER, REFUTED (CURRENT US IVY LEAGUE VERSION) SEABURY: Hear ye, hear ye! My name is Samuel Seabury, and I present "Free thoughts on the proceedings of the Continental Congress!" Heed not the rabble who scream revolution They have not your interest at heart Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution Don’t let them lead you astray This congress does not speak for me They’re playing a dangerous game I pray the king shows you his mercy For shame, for shame! HAMILTON: Check your privilege. [AND... SCENE.]
hey, if you can't afford a ticket to Hamilton (neither can I! ) check out my Ohio high school alma mater's Hamilton medley from last spring (starts at about 1:35). It was better than I expected--lol (just wish the technical recording could have been more professional. but hey, it's a small town )
