halfway through. this is good but also kind of sleepy? to be fair I'm on muscle relaxers. I get the criticisms, but the blunt honesty in their lyrics is refreshing in a world of pop artists that kind of feign it. the production on "Letter to God (1983)" is too on-point.

Alice of the Upper Class made it to streaming, so i'm assuming the other 9 will show up in the future (although i have all of them up with my personal copy on Apple Music)
I ended up making a condensed, 11 track version of this: 1. Ego 2. Panic Attack 3. Letter to God (1983) 4. Hometown 5. I Never Loved You 6. Lonely is the Muse 7. Arsonist 8. Hurt Feelings 9. Lucky 10. Letter to God (1998) 11. The Great Impersonator This album is too melancholy and slow to go on for the full 66 minute runtime.
I listened to it twice and deleted the album from my library, leaving just three songs that likely won't be played often. I rarely ever delete full albums too. This was just a miss for me.
I think it's a bit too long, but cutting the worst quarter of the album would easily make this her best album
Got about halfway through this and I think this just isn't for me. Love Lonely Is The Muse, but otherwise nothing from this is grabbing me at all.
I really love this album. I honestly can't believe how much I don't feel the length, and I think it's paced so well. I really just fall into it when I'm listening, and there's so many highlights. I was a little worried before I listened with everyone pointing out how slow it is, but even those songs really differentiate themselves to me. Pretty much every song does something I find pretty interesting.
There's still a handful of songs I don't care for, but my condensed 11 song track list (+Alice now that its on streaming) has been on constant repeat for me this past week. Hometown, Arsonist and Hurt Feelings are just so damn good. And LITM might be one of my favorite Halsey songs.
Weirdly, I’ve decided to check this out after seeing the discourse about TND’s 1/10 review. Never heard their music before but this is decent, albeit very patchy. Think I like roughly half of it, but I’ll have to check out their more cohesive records. Also, if I got cancer, then wrote an album talking about it, only for some bald, divorced YouTuber to accuse me of having “main character syndrome”, I think I would have no choice but to hunt them down for revenge.
I just realized that after debuting at #2 this dropped all the way to #179 the second week. That’s absolutely wild, especially since I’ve been loving this album more and more as time goes on
