That has to be frustrating for acts/bands who just have no desire to use this platform.

 

Absolutely. And it takes time away from creating and networking and even practicing. And for the most part, just a simple set up “isn’t good enough.” Did you color correct your videos? Did you pay attention to the lighting? Etc etc etc. Same thing that happened to YouTube and Instagram. Some parts of the industry don’t look at social media numbers and are just looking at what you’re actually doing, but that’s basically 1% at this point.

 

Shared this over on the news thread, but I'm posting it here too bc I really liked what the lead singe of Misterwives had to say about this from her perspective because she says the band was dropped from FBR for not making TikToks.

This snippet leaked on her Youtube Music page yesterday. It's still up, just unlisted. Definitely a different song than "So Good" and honestly it sounds sick as hell.

 

Also, she's been playing a stripped down rendition of 100 Letters on these past few tour dates, substituting it for More's spot on the setlist. Makes sense considering how personal that song is for them, and some people weren't super respectful when they played it on the first few dates, which sucks, but at least this new arrangement is super cool.

 

More's one of my favorite songs from them, but I'm not surprised it got swapped out pretty quickly. I'm surprised it was on the set at all

HFK is Halsey’s 3rd favorite double platinum album per her IG post about the live album. Nice way of saying it’s her least favorite album?

 

Last night in Cleveland ruled. First time seeing Halsey and it was from the pit. Great energy & visuals for the entire set.

There is also IICHL,IWP tour vinyl. Alternate artwork & pink variant but pick it up quick, it was gone before they went on.

on first listen I wasn't really into it, but second listen I'm already feelin it

 

Not was I was hoping they would follow up the last record with, not feeling it. Hoping to see them live before they ditch most of the last records songs from the setlist.

 

I enjoy it but doesn’t blow me away

 

Samesies, I'm into it but I'm also very underwhelmed. I hope the next album isn't going to be this much of a step back. The worst thing about it is that it's completely faceless.
