A few similarities to 4: Mike escapes while being transferred. Kills at a gas station / steals a car. Boyfriend gets caught with another chick.
Hahaha I realized this when I started describing 4 to my wife who’s pretty unfamiliar with the series.
Also a doctor and a cop lookin around for Micheal. Also our main characters hunker down and wait for Micheal to attack. I wonder what a truly unique Halloween sequel (that still involves Micheal) could be.
H20 was pretty unique I thought. They had a couple of obvious and purposeful callbacks to the original but otherwise, it seems pretty different from the rest of them.
Yeah this is even better on second viewing and I’ll hear no criticism! Haha but I really love this and I’d be into a sequel with the Strodes but I don’t know where it would go.
The more that you pick at it, the more you realize this sequel is an entire culmination of the sequels plus the original in a sense.
I used a cheap carving set from Wal Mart. Also my first time doing a carving that wasn’t actually cutting out the pumpkin.
No offense taken! The crunch reference is great. When we finished last night we all kept calling it Stache Mike.
This wasn't perfect, but it was a total blast beginning-to-end and succeeded, imo, in calling back to the original (and franchise as a whole) while simultaneously working as a standalone film. Easily the best since the OG Halloween 2. Cinematagrophy and score were so so good. Karen's "gotcha" moment and Laurie's "Happy Halloween" line had me grinning so hard.
Re-watched 5 today. Boy that was kinda hard to get through. Sits right above resurrection as the worst.
I’m torn between 5 and 6 being the second-worst behind resurrection. 5 has terrible direction and 6 has a terrible plot.
