honestly spoilery marketing isn't a sign of worry. I read somewhere that market research shows that most audiences these days prefer to know more of what they are going to be spending their money on. which is funny to me because the majority of people seem to freak out about spoilers. I was totally sold on the first trailer, loved the newest trailer and am still so in. but yeah, i'll be avoiding anything else from here on out haha.
Yea I read something like that years ago... something like people are more likely to pay money to go see it if they have a better understanding of what they're getting into. I'm the complete opposite and the best movie-going experiences (particularly with indie films) is knowing little as possible. I think since Michael Myers might not be as well-known outside North America, the international trailers offer a bigger backstory to foreign audiences.
yeah that definitely makes sense. and yeah I know I myself got wrapped into trailers and was watching everything getting hyped, but then I found myself feeling let down as I left the theatre, it was the first deadpool that really broke it for me. ever since I've been way stricter about my trailer views and as a result have had way better theatre experiences.
I thought that first trailer showed way too much. Can’t imagine how much more is stuff in the new one.
I feel like there have been quite a few movies in recent years that appear to give too much away in the trailers, but the version of the scenes that actually make the final cut are different in ways you wouldn’t expect that keep them fresh
Yeah there is a TON of new stuff in that international trailer. Plenty of new dialogue, and some more guarantees on side character/bystander deaths. Do not watch. I kinda wish I didnt. Kinda loved it too.
Me neither and it was even better. Hard to believe this is the modern Halloween I’ve waited for my entire life. I’m so excited.
My only gripe of the trailer is overall it looks too bright. Even the night scenes. More spooky shadows please

Jamie is a fucking queen. During standing ovation she grabbed the mic and said “Happy Halloween Motherfuckers”
Cool to hear. The first reaction I had read was from AA Dowd who was real down on it and I was afraid more opinions like that would follow
