I'm so glad a new one is coming next year. Mike Myers is the most terrifying slasher killer there is and will always terrify me. I remember being like 6 hiding behind the tv with my friend taking turns watching it cause we were so scared. The Rob Zombie remakes were amazing. They're the first movies on my October movie list I watch.
Am I alone in liking/enjoying H20? I thought it was a decent way to get it back to Laurie Strode, and a good way to resolve the story. Obviously to make money they can't have Mike being decapitated be canon so I get why they're gonna ignore it, but honestly I thought that was a good end to the story. I was pissed when they made the one after that, tho I did like the explanation they have for Michael surviving the H20 encounter. Oh well...I guess I can't complain that we're going to get another, possibly better ending to the story the original two movies told.
H2O was a lot better than Resurrection or the reboot and the sequel. The first 2 Halloweens are still objectively the best.
H20 is great when Micheal is on screen but the teenager "character development" scenes are unbearable.
Here are my rankings... 1. Halloween II 2. Halloween 3. Halloween III: Season of the Witch 4. H2O 5. Halloween II (2009) 6. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers 7. Halloween (2007) 8. Halloween: The Revenge of Michael Myers 9. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers 10. Halloween: Resurrection
I remember liking H20 at the time but it's been almost 10 years since I last saw it, I should definitely add that to the list of movies I watch this month
When mikeyboi is on screen, H20 is solid. But when he’s not, it’s like a lifetime movie level of bad.
It's interesting looking back how much Scream took credit for reshaping the horror genre of the late 90's... H2O definitely reflected it.
Think I'll watch the Zombie movies over the next couple of days then plow through the original series.
I really hope Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were low key auditioning to help John Carpenter with the music for this when they released the theme today.
I'm actually fine with this. They were probably trying to rush this before the holidays and now that can focus and make it great.
Had no idea there was a thread for this movie. Been talking about it in the Horror Thread mostly. They just announced a casting call for extras yesterday to play the "criminally insane." Most think there is gonna be a trip down memory lane to Smiths Grove this movie.
1) Halloween 2) Halloween II 3) Halloween H20 4) Halloween: The Curse 5) Halloween: Resurrection 6) Halloween 4 7) Halloween 5 8) Halloween 3 9) Rob Zombie's two-piece white trash holiday spectacle.
