Halloween Kills also went to peacock on day 1 while Dune was released the following week and it still didn’t drop 80%.
I saw this again last night. I think the more hate I see for this one, the more I like it. It's a hell of a lot more interesting than Kills, that's for sure
So what’s everyone’s favorite Halloween timeline now? Halloween 1 - 6? Halloween 1, 2, and H20? Halloween 1, 2018, Kills, and Ends? Halloween Rob Zombie? Resurrection?
My favorite timeline is still the Blumhouse trilogy. Least favorite will forever be the rob zombie timeline.
I want the next phase of this franchise to be an anthology of Evil. A mix of evil this recent trilogy highlighted (What evil does to community and individual) and more stuff in the vein of Halloween III.
I’d be pretty interested in this as well and was left feeling like this is the direction left going forward if they stick with Michael’s death. You know, until they revive him again.
Honestly I don’t want them to continue the franchise without Michael. There are plenty of horror franchises they could come up with stories about evil controlling people, but only Halloween can have Michael Myers.
A podcast mentioned that even though Halloween 3 failed to pivot the franchise into an anthology format... it kinda became one anyway just always with Michael. We have specific eras representing different takes on the premise: 1. OG Carpenters (Halloween 1+2) 2. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch 3. Thorn Trilogy (Halloween 4,5,6) 4. Miramax/Dimension Films Era (H20, Resurrection). (yes i know Miramax did the 6th movie, but that was of a piece with 4-5 still) 5. Zombie Reimagining (Halloween 1+2 Remakes) 6. David Gordon Green Trilogy (Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends) Timeline/canon clearly doesn't matter (except when it does to help a story with a specific movie). I do kind of like how the DGG/McBride movies are them writing 3 different versions of what a Halloween sequel could be. With the 2018 reboot being the Laurie Showdown movie, Kills being the Michael unleashed movie, and Ends being the Season of the Witch "let's zag when we are expected to zig" movie
