Not biting that bait. As bad as Ends is, I’d still watch it over Zombie’s films. I just don’t dig his style at all.
I didn’t hate Halloween Kills. Some things that worked, some things that didn’t. It’s a Halloween movie. Probably will like it more on a second watch!
This was laughably bad. Loved what DGG and McBride did with H2018, but yikes HK and now HE are just embarrassing.
I loved the 2018 and HK was a lot of fun, but god was this bad. Who was this for? Incredibly boring, weird and just terrible story. I get going for something different, but what an awful way to end a trilogy. People say HK was unnecessary, but it was at least fun and the story somewhat made sense. This was not necessary at all and the last 20-30 minutes could have been added to either of the first two movies instead of whatever the first 75 percent of this movie was. How disappointing.
Going into this knowing Corey was going to be the main focus, I still found the storytelling absolutely baffling. Traces of interesting ideas here and there, but even those are fleeting and have no deftness or subtlety whatsoever. God, what a slog. H18 had a more satisfying finality to it than this.
I kinda felt like I was watching Twilight for the first 80% of the movie. And was there really no trick or treating?
All three of these sucked and somehow each one got worse. Danny McBride needs to stick to the Gemstones. Holy shit.
I didn’t hate it lol it was pretty stupid and def a little slow but I went in thinking I was going to be outraged and I just wasn’t. Maybe I didn’t care enough? I was engaged for the most part. A mediocre film but a slightly less than mediocre halloween film?
I guess I just dk wtf he was trying to say or what I was supposed to think or believe about any of this lol
I think one of the big issues was taking a simple story that could have ended in H2018 and stretching it into a trilogy. They clearly had no idea where to take Kills and Ends.
this is really bad but i enjoyed myself which is a weak "defense" but i didn't enjoy kills at all if that means anything. i'm confused that i got on board with how bugnuts shit got but it's dumb to deny that pleasure for myself. i'm just glad the crowd i saw it with the other night sort of enhanced the experience (and certainly wasn't a massive pain in the ass like last year's was.) having my expectations scraping at the floors of hell didn't hurt either
