Half Waif - Mythopoetics (July 9, 2021)

I’ve never been fully in love with this project but hoping this record changes that

 

Lavender is a perfect record to me, so I'll probably always be chasing that high when it comes to Half Waif.

That said, I like all the tracks we've gotten so far from this LP better than anything on The Caretaker. Only even find myself coming back to "Ordinary Talk" and "Halogen 2" from that one. Excited to hear more.

 

Was supposed to go with a friend to one of The Caretaker tour dates before it got cancelled. Can't wait to surprise them with tickets for this one!

 

This record is quite lovely.

 

Production on this record is incredible.

I'm in love with this album.

 

I just discovered this last week and I can’t stop listening to it. I had only heard a song or two from her before and I’m really impressed with this
The way the song Orange Blossoms goes from gutted to resolute is masterful. That song is special

 

I need to listen to this, haven't gotten around to it. Really enjoyed her other two albums though.

 

pretttttty sure this is my #1 for the year now.

 

“Swimmer” is probably my favourite song she’s written yet.

 

Saw Nandi & co. play in Chicago tonight and no surprise but it was fantastic. Definitely gave me a greater appreciation for the album
