We made a very deliberate choice with this record to have the vocals sound less scrubbed and polished and more natural. There's pretty minimal tuning throughout the album and more emphasis on the character and delivery of the vocal. So it's got a nakedness which is fairly terrifying. Haha

Did you print CDs for this one, or just digital for now?

 

Just digital currently. We just don't sell enough CDs to afford the minimum pressing, really.

 

Just bought this on Bandcamp and finished the first listen, and it's absolutely beautiful guys, really tremendous. I'm really looking forward to spending more time with it soon, but first impressions are that it's fantastic.

 

One of the really small things that jumped out to me on the first listen was the delivery of "When my father was this age, he had a son" line on 27. Loved that.

 

Fun fact: the next thing you hear after that line is my father harmonizing with me on an "ahhhhhh"
