Finally listening to this, it’s beautiful as expected. S/o @sean_rugy for introducing them to me last year.
Big, big fan of their stuff. "Not Much" from their last record is one of my favorite songs of all time.
I really like this, its my new bike riding album I don't hear Bon Iver though personally, I hear a more melody-focused Copeland with female vox Alumni is a standout for me Edit: I was wrong - heavy Bon Iver vibes especially on their first album
It’s expectedly great. A little busier than their usual stuff but by the end you can tell S Carey fits in perfectly, their harmonies are unreal
honestly just inject all of this style of music right into my veins and I love how they all collab together
This band should be more popular here, their style is so appealing After many long listens though I actually prefer their self-titled album to Holding - it had this atmospheric quality about it, whereas Holding seemed to go in more of a folk-chamber pop direction if that make sense, a lot more piano/orchestral based writing where Hailaker was more autotune/synths/drum machines and it worked for their minimal style Ah well whatever it is I am glad I found this band on this website
@trevorshmevor @OhTheWater @Leftandleaving Jemima Coulter has a solo album coming! single was out today.
again, mixed mixed by Ali Lacey (Novo Amor) who also just announced US dates stand by this little collective of artists making precisely what I want to hear right now. Ed Tullet, who is the other half of Hailaker jusr released the first single of s nee project called Lissom.
Ed Tullet aka Lowswimmer and the other half of Hailaker quietly put out two absolutely stellar albums. this little collective of musicians including Novo Amor just get me.
