Wow @ Aristotle Athari being in this - one of those people that was on SNL for such a short time and in so few sketches that I thought I’d never see him again
Mid rewatch and omg this show. So meticulous and nuanced while being laugh out loud funny. A masterpiece.
Premiere episodes were very good. Always a little dust to shake off when a show’s been gone for this long (and a time skip to boot), but it snaps into shape very quickly. From the moment Einbeinder and Smart are in a room together it’s off to the races. By the end of episode two, I’m completely sold on where it’s going. So glad this is back!
Hell yeah. The perfect companion to Jeselnik’s speech about “getting away with it”. It’s wild that these thoughts aren’t more widely accepted as reality but I guess the people with the biggest platforms are the ones pushing the cancel culture narrative Also did not realize she was a nepo baby
Finally got to 3 & 4. Real good shit DJ going full Sweet Dee in the roast episode lol Kiki is the best character on this entire show and I hope Luna makes 100 million dollars off the french horn skills If someone wrote three seasons of an HBO show just to justify rattling off the bisexual Gumby bit I would say it was all worth it
I didn’t realize they were doing 2 episodes every week so I watched episode 4 last night. Perfect show.
Man I love this show. It's been so nice seeing Deborah being much kinder to Ava as the show progresses
Yep - he also wrote for/produced/acted on Broad City and The Other Two. He’s half the reason I was even excited for this show to begin with haha
Finally caught up on this on my flights this weekend. Man I love this show, such a bummer the season is already have over though. Meg Stalter will never not make me laugh in this.
Great couple of episodes this week. Both tackled some stuff they’ve been dancing around through the whole series. Hannah’s comment about cancel culture feels way more contextualized now haha. The confrontation between Deborah and Kathy was handled so delicately and was much more kind to both characters than a lot of shows would typically write it. It felt like a genuine back and forth. Deborah’s Q&A at the college was also very powerful. Happy to get more Jimmy & Kayla this week - their dynamic keeps getting better, and Christopher Lloyd knocked his role out of the park. Not ready for this season to be over so soon
