Just catching up, and if truly ending this season, that's a good choice. I have loved it, but the most consistent knock I've heard against this show is each season is sort of similar and while I can find plenty of parts to disagree on with that, it's not entirely not true.

Just give us some more Robby Hoffman. Fantastic in S4 and the clips I've seen of her standup are great and I can't wait to watch the whole thing.

Haven't had this many new episodes of shows I've cared about in a while.

At first I was like oh shit are they jumping the shark with this EGOT story line but they proved me wrong.

Anyways, this season is firing on all cylinders and I love seeing Deborah and Ava getting along better than ever

 

I think the 2nd episode was a little corny, unrealistic and ventured into a tone that didn't really work as well for me, but the overall structure of where (I think) the show is going, seems good to me,,, though I have an idea of something unexpected that I won't share until I feel it could actually happen and it's just not just an unsubstantiated theory.

I always thought that the show should end with a stand up special (like making it seem like an actual stand up special vs a special within a show). I think we had something similar in s1 but I mean like a full hour of stand up and not splicing it into the plot.

 

Or you know actually have the standup special be on that date at the venue and I could fly there and watch it live.
