My ideal next season of the show is Deborah moving into the podcast space in a similar fashion to what Conan is doing currently (bonus points if there's a Conan cameo episode where Deborah is promoting the podcast and we get to see Conan, Mat, and Sona) and maybe ends with Deborah making Ava her co-host and finally having them both be equals in their shared voice.
Wow, did not realize that was a season finale, did not feel like it at all. I thought they were going to go the Conan/Letterman route, where she would be courted by other networks, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Have had the last two episodes of this and The Studio to get through but had to keep putting off. Watched all four episodes tonight and… wow the parallels haha Agree that the finale felt a little off. I also anticipate a bit of a role reversal/passing of the torch situation, but wouldn’t mind at all if the show didn’t go there. Feels like the most obvious answer though - make Ava do all of the jokes Deborah can’t. But regardless, yeah as much as I love this show they’ve either gotta stop putting the leads at conflict with each other or just end it. The show is so much better when they’re on the same team anyway
Emilio should have an Emmy for how iconic that bob is, like I feel like Ava Daniels and Gracie have everyone being like maybe it's for me
