It was just kinda "that album" in my life that like destroyed every barrier I had made in my head haha and made me REALLY love music in a way I didn't know how to before

Her whole discography does a great job of that though so might just be about WHEN I listened to it but yeah definitely give it some more time!

That's one thing I love about being behind on music haha I get to spend so much time with what I do like

 

I think for the most part I agree with this, Kanye's heel-turn over the last year or so really turned me off to him/new material, but as far as his older stuff goes, I can still return to it pretty easily.

 

Never Better is still a classic, We Don’t Even Live Here is good, Chill, dummy is pretty bad imo

yeah with the million lists I’ve seen this month I’m really getting into not thinking about music in list format. especially with all the genres I listen to, it’s hard to say what makes something #38 or #39. I saw someone say something about “what albums coming out next year absolutely have a spot on your AOTY list?”... can’t you just say “what albums are you looking forward to?”

sometimes I get way too into lists that other people make and I'm like "I can't believe no one agrees with me on this album or that album" then I remember that it literally doesn't matter and I just continue to like what I like

I dunno if you listen to Sims at all but I felt like he and POS went in the same direction with their releases at that time and Sims just did it a lot better
