what would a 5/4 aoty list look like

 

For sure I get that

I just feel like it becomes like "Chorus list sucks there's too much *insert Chorus album here* and not enough *insert p4k album here*" and even though it comes from a place of "there's so much out there" it still comes across so snobby and I just don't know

I get what Jon was saying too though about how devoid it was of hip hop and all and that's a whole other topic

 

I've been craving chicken parmesan an unreasonable amount lately

I basically agree, it's got some solid albums on there that I'd probably include. Or at least the top 20, I didn't look any further yet. Not necessarily the same order, but at least half of it I can accept. Wish Julien Baker was higher though.

I wish I liked Julien Baker more but her albums don’t really click with me. I normally enjoy the first two songs and then wish that it was more musically diverse

 

I don’t listen to enough new music for my opinions to matter. The only thing I really care about on any AOTD list is if abusers or problematic artists are still being praised and included.

Same. I think her voice is gorgeous and she’s clearly talented but the music itself does very little for me. I want it to. But it doesn’t

 

I can't tell Julien Baker apart from the other 5 or 6 indie songstresses that have similar names/vibes

 

Julien Baker made me fall in love with the Mel9 and I've been needing one ever sense

I think Sprained Ankle is great, couldn't get into the second album much though

 

I could never put together a list because I barely remember what albums came out this month, let alone this year; so forget putting together a list for the decade.

then who fucking knows.

 

Blue Sky Noise is a top 5 for the decade for sure

 

there's a place with maybe the best veal parm anywhere that I might try to go to this weekend. It seems so hard to get a table, so I can't decide if I even want to try.
