Andrew McMahon. Everything went great until like 7 songs in when my mom completely passed out. He noticed she didn’t seem right and mouthed to me if she was ok and then ended up stopping the song to get her help. I’ve never seen that happen to her so I went into total shock myself and kind of spaced out because I thought she was dying or something. Luckily people near us kept her from falling and she came back around and got walked out, but boy was that a lot to process.

Everyone held my spot and was really supportive which helped a lot, and then once she sat down and got some water she was totally fine again and could watch the rest of the show from the bar. She hadn’t even realized the show stopped because she was out cold.

The show itself was kind of bizarre and out of body for me after that because of all the adrenaline, but it was one of the best crowds I have EVER seen for him. He declared it one of his favorite venues ever since the two shows he’s played there both had such crazy reactions. I don’t know what it is about Charlottesville because Richmond usually isn’t that nuts.

We tried to get something warm to drink after the show but they were closed, and he was right by the bus talking to people when we walked by so she got to thank him for the help during everything. It was just crazy surreal after such a great day with the soundcheck and cool people in line and a chill vibe otherwise but then this massive stressful thing in the middle.
