Yeah I mean I know the basics of the story but I’ve never read it. I’m basically a failure because I’m super tied into the comics world from volunteering and friends and stuff but I have a really hard time taking in information when it’s a comic or graphic novel so I almost never read them.

If you just know the basics, this still provides enough extra detail that I'd say it's worth checking out. But if you know the basics of the plot and the characters then you should be fine watching the show.
