I saw snow once when I was a kid, that one time it snowed in Florida. then I saw a lot of snow in Colorado and then I was happy that I didn't have to deal with it in my everyday life

I wouldn't mind a little snow since Dallas is so unprepared for that kind of weather and it would probably mean I'd get to miss work.

 

Something I've come to realize is that there are few better signifiers that you've entered adulthood than how you react to news of a big snow storm coming. When your reaction is pure annoyance, rather than excitement and joy, you know you're not a kid anymore.

 

That's one way to look at it.

It's "Goddammit this is going to make my commute to work a waking nightmare" vs. "woooooo day off!"

 

I know my commute is going to be a nightmare when it snows, but I'm always hoping that the forecasts are wrong and we get 2-3 feet and everything is shut down. Every single time, haha.
