Dude I’m 27 and I’ve hung out with girls that are like 22/23 and it feels like we’re just on different planets. Like, if I were to date a girl who was 23 and her parents were in their 40s I feel like I’d get along with them better. I dunno it’s just something I’ve noticed over the last couple years. I also grew up being the youngest sibling and was always surrounded by older people so I think I tend to gravitate toward them.

as a teenager I talked to my parents' friends more than kids my own age haha but now I find it hard to relate

 

My parents are so old that I really should be in a different generation. When I first found an online community of friends I would talk to people who were 15 or 20 years older than me but who had younger parents and it messed with my head. I’ve been getting the “old soul” comment since I was like a toddler, and they’re not wrong.

 

Right? It’s fuckin crazy to me. My sister is the same age as @ComedownMachine ’s mom. My mom is 70 next year
