Someone let me stay at their house for Riot Fest one year when everyone I was going with bailed and left me unable to afford our hotel, and our only connection was we were both in a FOB event group on facebook. We had never actually interacted, we were just both in the group. It ended up being a yearly tradition until I went with someone else again and didn’t want to put them out even more. Her father picked me up from the airport and her mother made me breakfast in bed and I’m still not totally convinced they weren’t actual angels disguised as humans.

just found out the human genome is around 700MB of information which is insane considering we consume media that gets up to 100GB. Does that mean we have incredibly inefficient ways of storing information or am I missing something there.

IIRC though there's research into genetic data storage where you would need grams versus tons of material to store the same info.
