Yeah it's sad. I was over prescribed meds too and I'm pretty sure it fucked me up for life. I know there are people who really need this stuff but I'll never understand why every person under the sun thinks taking a pill is the solution for everything.

I know it's hard to get dosages right and sometimes doctors prescribe wayyy too high a dose. Apparently there's a new med out there that my friend is trying to get her insurance to approve that does what the adderall does but without a lot of the side effects, I could find out the name if you want.

I want to try a small dose of vyvanse, but my anxiety makes the idea of having that conversation seem impossible.

my sister let me try her vyvanse and I hated it. it didn’t do much to help with focus but it did keep me up grinding my teeth for like 18 hours

Vyvanse has this “mood enhancer” as they call it. Feels kinda like ecstasy at high doses, for me at least. Destroys me the next day though so I only took it once or twice.

 

I'm too scared to take melatonin every night and become dependent on it lol let alone real medicine

 

I was prescribed trazodone to sleep years ago and that shit was awful, like vivid crazy dreams about murdering my dog with my bare hands and fist fighting my family then the next day I felt like shit til 2 in the afternoon. It was terrible lol

 

ughhhh i have so much work to do before i leave for the weekend tomorrow afternoooon killlll meeeee but then bring me back to life at 4:30 tomorrow

The worst thing about taking a pharmacology class in college was learning about all the fucked up prescriptions I was given. Really opened my eyes to how the system loves to throw pills at people to solve their problems.
